One-to-one help finding local and regional health services and navigating care.
A Wellness Coordinator can help people without a healthcare provider navigate healthcare, find services and programs, arrange virtual doctor appointments, renew prescriptions, seek specialist referrals, find equipment-loan information and register for the BC Health Connect Registry. Drop-in hours are Tuesdays noon to 2 p.m. Appointments are also available. The mobile office is in the lower parking lot of the Health Centre. Ferry terminal connecting Mayne Island with the Southern Gulf Islands, Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay.
Village Bay terminal is at the end of Village Bay Road on the west side of Mayne Island. Sailings connect with the Southern Gulf Islands, Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay; some destinations require a stop or transfer. Amenities include an accessible washroom, waiting room, Wi-Fi, bike rack, pet area and picnic area. Limited free parking is available (12 spaces, 48-hour limit). Assessment, counselling, and case planning for eligible children and youth aged 5–19.
Island Community Services provides assessment, counselling, case planning, clinical interventions, and follow-up in office or on an outreach basis for children and youth experiencing moderate to severe emotional, behavioural, or psychological difficulties. Services may be provided in community locations including schools. Referrals are accepted from the Ministry of Children and Family Development, schools, physicians, community agencies, or by self-referral. Some needs may be outside the program’s scope.

Weekly return bus and ferry transportation between Mayne Island and Sidney, with Victoria stops by request.
This weekly Tuesday service is open to everyone and is offered by Mayne Island Assisted Living Society in collaboration with the Mayne Island Community Bus. The bus leaves the Mayne Island Library at 6 a.m. and the ferry terminal at 6:10 a.m., connecting with the 6:40 a.m. ferry to Swartz Bay; return travel leaves Sidney on the 4:20 p.m. ferry. Fares for return ferry and bus travel are CAD 15 for seniors age 65 and older and children, and CAD 25 for adults. Advance booking is required; 22 seats are available weekly. Special stops must be requested at least 24 hours ahead. Phone/text 250-213-6191 or book through the operator website. The operator asks riders needing a wheelchair or walker to use a foldable one and notify them. Confirm schedule and fares before travel.

Outreach support to families with children aged 0–18 across the Southern Gulf Islands.
Provides prevention, early intervention, assessment, and other support to children and families facing stress, parenting challenges, or early signs of abuse, neglect, or other risks to child well-being. The service supports developing or restoring a safe and healthy home environment and coordinates with Family Place, Ministry of Children and Family Development social workers, and other community partners. Access is by referral from the responsible Child Protection social worker or self-referral.

Thursday drop-in food pantry on Mayne Island; delivery and private appointments may be arranged.
The Mayne Island Food Bank Society says its community pantry is open Thursdays from 09:00 to 13:00 and welcomes all. It offers fresh and non-perishable food. Delivery and appointments outside pantry hours may be arranged on request; call or email the provider for details.

Community-managed parks, waterfront access, trails and recreation grants.
The Mayne Island Parks and Recreation Service is administered by volunteer commissioners. It manages community parks, shore accesses and trails and supports recreation through grants to community groups. Trails may have rough or steep terrain and may not be accessible to people with mobility limitations. Fires and camping are not allowed in these parks and trails.
