Assists seniors aged 65 and older who are in general good health but need help with non-medical daily tasks to live independently at home and stay connected. Services include light housekeeping, grocery shopping, prescription pickup and delivery, prepared meals, group activities, library delivery, friendly visits, snow shovelling, minor home repairs, light yard work, and transportation to medical, critical, social, and recreational appointments. Fees apply to some services on an income-based sliding scale. Contact the program for hours and to discuss available supports. Serves Blaeberry, Donald, Field, Golden, Nicholson, and Parson.

Food Bank Distribution and Delivery

Crisis-based food hampers of fresh food and pantry staples for households in Golden and Area A.

For households experiencing food insecurity in Golden and Columbia Shuswap Regional District Area A. Access begins with a conversation with staff to understand need and identify other helpful supports; registered clients select items in the open shopping area. Hampers of fresh food and pantry staples are distributed Tuesdays 13:00–17:00 and Thursdays 09:30–13:00. A delivery service is available for people facing temporary or permanent barriers to visiting in person. Proof of residency in Golden or CSRD Area A is required.
