Workers meet people on the street, in shelters, or in temporary places to assess housing needs. Support includes referrals for emergency shelter, food, clothing, blankets, health care, counselling and addiction recovery; assistance obtaining identification and income assistance; help with housing applications, move-in, appointments and viewings; landlord liaison; and links to culturally appropriate services. Rent subsidies may be available. The 211 listing says the program serves Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows and operates Monday and Tuesday 8:30 am–8:30 pm, Wednesday–Friday 8:30 am–5 pm. With BC Housing support, the Temporary Winter Shelter provides 30 beds. The 2026–2027 season is scheduled October 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027. Hours are 9 pm to 7 am nightly, except Wednesdays when it operates 10 pm to 7 am. Located in the basement of Ridge Church. Contact the Shelter Manager to confirm access and current availability.
