No-cost food support for households in the Slocan Valley, including tailored hampers twice per month and emergency food boxes during office hours.
The Slocan Valley Food Cupboard serves households, families, and individuals resident in its Slocan Valley catchment, stated as from Enterprise Creek to Playmor Junction. It asks clients for proof of residence in the catchment, does not require proof of financial status, keeps client information confidential, and provides food at no financial cost. Tailored hampers are available on food-bank days twice per month. Shelf-stable emergency food boxes are available during office opening hours when support is needed outside food-bank days. The society aims to provide at least two meals per person per day for seven days, twice per month, subject to food availability.
