Green Lake Community Centre and Outdoor Recreation

Community hall rentals, indoor programmes and outdoor activities for the Green Lake and surrounding area.

The Society describes activities for residents of North Green Lake, South Green Lake, Watch Lake and surrounding areas, including hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, water skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and other seasonal recreation. Indoor activities include yoga, games nights and potluck dinners. The hall and kitchen can be rented for private events; capacity is 86. Rental terms require special event insurance, advance payment at least one month before the event and a refundable $500 damage deposit. A rear accessibility ramp is described in the rental checklist. Current dates, rates, access and event arrangements should be confirmed with the Society.

Watch Lake-North Green Lake Volunteer Fire Protection

Volunteer fire response from two halls in the Green Lake and Watch Lake area.

The department states that it protects life, property and the environment from fires and related disasters, with firefighters on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Two halls are at 5771 Green Lake North Road and 6303 Pioneer Road, both listed in 70 Mile House. It reports mutual-aid agreements with Lone Butte and South Green Lake fire departments.
