The Municipality of North Cowichan identifies Mount Tzouhalem as a key hiking and mountain-biking destination. Its trails app includes mapped routes and trail descriptions. E-bikes are limited to Class 1 pedal-assist (no throttle, maximum assist speed 32 km/h). Overnight camping, campfires and fireworks are not permitted in the Municipal Forest Reserve.
