Emergency preparedness, alerts, and regional response and recovery coordination for residents of Stump Lake and Electoral Area M.
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District Emergency Preparedness Program provides direction and coordination for responding to and recovering from major incidents or disasters in its electoral areas, including flooding, wildfires, and landslides that threaten human life and safety. It helps incident commanders when emergencies exceed response capacity, training, or available resources. TNRD emergency notices and evacuation alerts are available through Voyent Alert. This program does not replace police, fire, ambulance, BC Wildfire Service, or other first responders. Call the Emergency Operations Centre during an active emergency for information or support; use 911 for immediate emergencies.
