The Health Department provides a holistic, culturally grounded health system. Services include primary care from doctors and nurse practitioners, mental health and counselling, home and community care, harm reduction, dental care, traditional wellness, chronic disease management, public health, and health navigation. Home and Community Care supports Elders and people living independently who need help to remain safe and well at home. The clinic serves Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations. Program eligibility varies; the Nation’s 2025 guide also describes services for Nation members and Indigenous people in remote coastal communities of qathet. Tla’amin Nation is located just north of Powell River and was formerly known as Sliammon First Nation.
