Emergency food hampers for eligible Saanich Peninsula households north of Sayward Road.
The Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank provides emergency food hampers intended to supplement household food needs. Eligibility is limited to Saanich Peninsula residents north of Sayward Road. Applicants register in person on Monday, Wednesday or Friday; registration is not taken by phone or email. Bring photo identification for each adult, proof of current address on the peninsula, and Care Cards or other official identification for household dependants. Identification must be shown at each visit and household information is updated every six months. Registered households may receive one hamper per month, sized by household, intended to provide about 7 to 10 days of food depending on supply. Extra fresh produce is available to registered clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The provider closes on statutory holidays.
