RDN Emergency Support Services (ESS) provides short-term basic support to people displaced by emergencies. Help may include food, lodging, clothing, family reunification, information, emotional support, childcare, first aid and pet care. Lighthouse Recreation offers community programs, activities and seasonal camps at the Lighthouse Community Centre. The RDN describes a North Loop and South Loop in Bowser and Qualicum Bay. The North Loop and Wildwood Community Park parking lot is on McColl Road in Bowser. The South Loop trailhead is at the end of Lioness Boulevard in Qualicum Bay; its first 2.5 km is wheelchair accessible and includes accessible parking, a toilet and kiosk, benches, a picnic table, wood carvings, a continuous tapping rail, and another toilet at the end. Other sections include rough trail and woodlot road; access to adjacent Crown lands is not guaranteed.
