The Pender Harbour Health Centre Society describes the centre as a community-led non-profit providing medical and health and wellness programs to Pender Harbour and surrounding communities. The church identifies the Ministry Centre at 12891 Lagoon Road as the food bank’s home. Food supplies include fresh and non-perishable food such as meat, dairy, cereals, bread and produce, as well as personal hygiene products and diapers. Community-supported Blessing Boxes are available between food bank Mondays at the Pender Harbour Community Church in Madeira Park, beside the community hall in Egmont, and at the Rotary Park gazebo in Garden Bay. Volunteer-operated library serving residents of Pender Harbour, Egmont and Secret Cove.
Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 11:00 AM–2:00 PM, and Friday 11:00 AM–5:00 PM. Residents of SCRD Area A may become members; visitors are welcome to use the library and may join with proof of a resident address. The collection focuses on leisure reading and the library participates in BC interlibrary loan. Registered borrowers can borrow two telescopes for three weeks at no charge.
