Gitxaała Nation’s Community Health Representative Program works with nurses, schools and health teams to support community well-being. HealthLink BC lists advocacy and support, food safety training, yearly vision clinics, HIV harm reduction education, environmental health, communicable disease programming and Healthy Beginnings. The Nation’s health department also describes maternal and child home visits, mental wellness and addictions counselling, diabetes prevention, home care, dental clinics, youth and family programs.
