Provides food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity. First-time visitors must register and provide photo identification. Registered individuals may receive up to two food hampers per month. Pickup is listed Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 12:45 pm. Financial assistance for eligible RDCK residents to reduce recreation admission, membership and program costs.
The Leisure Access Program (LAP) helps RDCK residents of all ages experiencing financial hardship access recreation. Approved participants receive a yearly subsidy credit of $100 per adult and $150 per youth. The credit can subsidize general admissions and memberships by 50% for adults and 75% for youth, and most registered programs by 50%; CHEER events are fully subsidized. A further allotment may be available in specified circumstances. Passes expire May 31 each year and applicants must reapply.
