The District of Hope Fire Department provides emergency response, fire prevention, public education, wildfire preparedness, and emergency management services to the community and surrounding areas 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It was formed by amalgamating the former Hope, Kawkawa Lake, and Flood/Laidlaw/Silver Creek fire departments and now operates from three fire halls.
