Arrow & Slocan Lakes Community Services operates a community medical van from Nakusp to Vernon and Kelowna. The van leaves Nakusp at 7:00 a.m., reaches Vernon at 10:30 a.m. and Kelowna at 11:30 a.m., leaves Kelowna at 1:30 p.m. and Vernon at 2:30 p.m., and returns to Nakusp around 6:00 p.m. Current return fares are CAD 30 to Vernon and CAD 40 to Kelowna; the exact amount is required. Medical appointments have priority; the Village of Nakusp says other riders may travel if seats are available.
