Goldstream Food Bank provides supplemental food hampers with about 5–7 days of food, up to one hamper per month. Contents vary with supply. Clients must bring photo ID; new clients must arrive before 11:00 a.m. with photo ID, Care/Service cards for each dependent, and a utility bill mailed to their home address. Staff speak English only; new clients who need another language should bring someone to translate. The 2026 schedule lists service on the first three Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each month, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; weather and other circumstances can change hours, and the last customer is served at 11:45 a.m. Call if unsure before visiting. Open from 09:30 to 14:00 on the first three Thursdays of each month; the last client is accepted at 13:45. One hamper per month is available. First-time registration requires government photo ID, proof of Sooke Region address, proof of low income for each adult and BC ID cards for children. Goods vary with donations and seasons. A registered nurse and nurse practitioner offer walk-in appointments from 09:30 to 12:00 on open days; basic haircuts are also available.
