Seasonal eagle counts, ethical wildlife viewing information, and a year-round public viewing shelter.
Nature Squamish conducts daily eagle counts at Eagle Run Dike from November 1 to early January, monitors wintering eagle populations, promotes respectful viewing, and maintains interpretive displays at the viewing shelter. Volunteers can sign up for morning or afternoon shifts; no experience is required, training and mentoring are available, and no minimum shift count is required. Registration opens in fall. The Eagle Run viewing shelter is open to visitors year-round and has interpretive panels and picnic tables; portable toilets are provided by the District of Squamish. The gravel dike is accessible by ramp or stairs and can be reached on foot, by bike, vehicle, or public transit; parking is along Government Road. The path may not be cleared after snow. This is a viewing location across the river from the provincial park; the park itself is inaccessible from this side and closes to public access October through March.
