Route 8 operates in both directions between Duncan and Mill Bay, with service through Cowichan Bay and Cobble Hill Station at Fisher. The CVRD Electoral Area E Community Parks and Trails Master Plan lists Fairbridge Park as a 2.57-hectare special-purpose park in Cowichan Station and describes it as passive, leased for hay production to a local farmer. The plan does not identify public facilities or visitor amenities.
Grants of up to $500 per child per year toward registration fees for eligible children and youth aged 18 and under living in the Cowichan Valley.
Supports access to a season of sport by helping cover registration fees. Applications and grant administration are provided by the volunteer-managed KidSport Cowichan chapter. The Hub at 2375 Koksilah Road rents rooms for meetings, events, parties, performances and programs. Rooms include two upstairs rooms (capacity 40 each), a gym/theatre with stage (capacity 200), and café/commercial kitchen space. Rentals are available 6 am–11 pm, seven days a week. Three rate tiers apply: registered non-profit, non-commercial, and commercial. Listed hourly rates vary by space and tier; request the current booking contract and confirm fees, insurance and availability. Ten-hour bookings receive a 10% discount.

The outdoor community library at the Hub is open to anyone. Visitors may take a book without donating one and may return it later or pass it to someone else; there is no stated due date. The Hub Film Club screens films on the fourth Friday of each month, with a break in July and August.
