Counselling and education for children and youth ages 3–18 who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence, with support for families.
The Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment (PEACE) program supports children and youth ages 3–18 who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence. Counselling can include individual and group support, with information and support for parents and caregivers. The service serves Argenta. Social, physical and practical supports for older adults in Kaslo and RDCK Area D.
Programs include light physical activities, seniors’ coffee time, and WISE supports for adults aged 55 and older who have mobility challenges, live on low income or experience isolation. WISE supports can include weekly meal delivery and an in-person check-in, resource connections and workshops. Cooper Creek is explicitly named in the service area.
