Central Cariboo Search and Rescue

Free volunteer search and rescue response, requested through 911 and an authorized agency.

Volunteers assist police, ambulance and other agencies with missing-person searches, aircraft searches, motor-vehicle incidents and disaster response. Volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, year-round; service is free. To request help, call 911 as early as possible; Search and Rescue deployments are requested through an authorizing agency such as RCMP or BC Emergency Health Services. The unit is funded in part by taxpayers in Electoral Area D and responds locally, regionally and provincially.
