Free monthly food hampers are available to Cherryville residents. Anyone may access weekly surplus food on Thursdays and a self-access fridge outside the building.

Cherryville residents can also register for Christmas hampers and children’s gifts. The Society says core food supports are free without conditions. Food bank hours are typically Tuesday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm; contact the Society to confirm.
The Cherryville Community Club operates the community hall and maintains Hanson Park. The hall hosts recreation programs, seniors dinners and special events, and the hall and park are available to book.
RDNO lists regular hall activities including Brownies, Jiu-Jitsu, circuit training, yoga, movie nights, monthly seniors dinners and special events. Contact the Club about hours, rentals and park bookings.

The Cherryville FireWatch Society trains and supports local volunteers, maintains wildfire equipment, and works with regional and provincial partners on wildfire readiness.
General meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month and training is on the third Tuesday. Everyone is welcome. The Society also monitors and reports local wildfire concerns and supports wildfire response capability in the Cherryville area.
Whitevalley Community Resource Centre provides school-based outreach to students and families at Cherryville Elementary.
