The City of Castlegar Emergency Support Services team provides support to Castlegar residents and assists Regional District areas, Kaslo and Nelson when fires, floods or other disasters displace people from their homes. Emergency Support Services may provide short-term help with basic needs such as food, accommodation, clothing and incidentals. Access and reception locations depend on the active emergency; follow the local authority’s instructions. The City posts local emergency information and offers emergency notifications through its alert page.
