Hiking access from Blubber Bay Road to Eagle Cove and nearby named trails.
Texada Arts, Culture & Tourism Society reports that Eagle Cove Trail from the Blubber Bay Road trailhead to Eagle Cove was cleared of downed trees in April 2025; Long Trail, Gnome Trail and Short Trail in the Eagle Cove area were also reported clear. The Society notes that several other Texada trails have not been maintained for years and may be difficult. Check the latest trail conditions and carry the published map.

Year-round campground and beach-front day-use park on Texada Island.
Shelter Point Regional Park is on the west shore of Texada Island, south of Gillies Bay. The campground is open year-round, while many facilities are available only during summer. The park gate is locked in the evening and reopened in the morning; caretakers can open it in an emergency.
