Counselling for youth and young adults aged 13 to 24 dealing with mental health and substance-use concerns.
Vancouver Coastal Health provides psychosocial assessment and individual, group and family counselling for youth and young adults aged 13 to 24 with mental health and substance-use concerns. Support includes individualized treatment planning, psychoeducation, family sessions, caregiver support and referral to withdrawal-management or treatment programs. The clinician works with schools, Nuxalk Health and Wellness and other agencies. The service is available at Bella Coola General Hospital or by telehealth from Vancouver, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Contact 236-589-7839 or joseph.topping@vch.ca.
