Food assistance, appointment transportation, and social connection for eligible adults living independently in Saanich.
Adults over 19 living independently within the Municipality of Saanich may be eligible to register. Volunteers help with grocery shopping and food hamper delivery, provide volunteer transportation to appointments, and offer friendship calls and visits and social groups. A weekly lunch is available by appointment on Thursdays at the society office; transportation to lunch may be arranged with at least one week notice. A free tax filing service is also available, and that program accepts clients from anywhere in the Capital Regional District. The prior prepared meal delivery program is suspended and replaced by Let’s Do Lunch.
