Emergency food assistance, vouchers, bus tickets, and referral help for eligible Delta residents.
Deltassist’s Community Fund (Emergency Food Cupboard) is a stop-gap for low-income Delta households in a food crisis. It may provide emergency food, food vouchers and/or bus tickets and information about other community food resources. Deltassist cannot assist with monthly rent, utility or phone bills. Other food supports described by Deltassist include community garden produce for unhoused Delta residents or low-income seniors, parents and single people; free bread distributed through community partners; annual Christmas hampers for low-income Delta residents; and the school-based Starfish Backpack program, where participating schools identify students who would benefit.
