Forest Rose has 56 sites and is open May 14–September 14, 2026; it includes a playground, flush toilets, potable water, coin showers, bear-proof garbage and recycling. Lowhee has 80 sites and is open June 18–September 28, 2026; it includes a playground, three washroom buildings, potable water, coin showers and bear-proof garbage and recycling. Each campsite has a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Forest Rose 2026 nightly fees: $27 unserviced single site, $37 single site with 30-amp power, $10 horse paddock. Lowhee: $27 unserviced single, $53 unserviced double, $37 single 30-amp, $74 double 30-amp, $57 full-service single, $68 standard cabin. Add 5% GST and $5 non-refundable fee for reservable sites. As of September 25, 2026, Forest Rose is seasonally closed and Lowhee is scheduled to close September 28.
Short-term accessible cottages and heritage guest houses operated at Barkerville.
The Barkerville Cottages are furnished vacation rentals with kitchens, Wi-Fi and wheelchair-accessible units; listed at $429 per night with a two-night minimum. Historic King and Kelly Guest Houses are heritage accommodations in the townsite, listed at $459 per night with a two-night minimum and pedestrian access only. A refundable $250 damage deposit applies. Each accommodation sleeps up to six. Advance bookings for the 2026 main season are open; contact the operator for availability and winter cottage bookings.

Barkerville Historic Town & Park is a National Historic Site with a preserved streetscape of more than 125 heritage buildings, museums, exhibits, shops and public programming during its main season. In the current 2026 winter season (September 14, 2026 to May 13, 2027), the walk-in gate is open daily 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. for self-guided visits by donation; the Welcome Centre is closed and shops and restaurants are closed except during Olde-Fashioned Christmas. During the main season, admission is charged; the official 2026 page lists adult single-day admission at $22.05 plus GST, seniors and students $16.57 plus GST, youth ages 6–16 $14.48 plus GST, and children age 5 and under free. The site reports 75% wheelchair accessibility, including historic town and campgrounds.
