Food hampers and 24-hour outdoor emergency food pantries for people across the Columbia Valley.
The Columbia Valley Food Bank provides food access from Spillimacheen to Canal Flats. Hampers are customized to household size, usually about 23 pounds per person for a five-to-seven-day supply, and may be accessed once every 30 days; emergency hampers may be available in exceptional circumstances. Bring identification for each household member. Outdoor emergency pantries offer barrier-free access to canned goods at listed sites, including one in Invermere near 10th Street past 13th Avenue by J.A. Laird Elementary School. Contact the food bank if transportation or an alternate pickup arrangement is needed; home delivery is sometimes possible but is not regular.
