Drop-in play, learning and family support for parents and young children.
Drop-in programs for parents and young children run Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 am–1 pm at 27330 28 Avenue, in a portable on Shortreed Elementary School property. Activities support parent-child connection, child development and parenting skills. Community outreach includes Strong Start and Monday family time with guest speakers and resources. Community kitchens teach budgeting, cooking and healthy meals and run twice monthly with child-minding. Most programs are free or have a small subsidized cost; call to confirm program cost and schedule.
